The race served as a platform for community sensitization, with cyclists traversing various parts of Kampala to raise awareness about malaria prevention and treatment. Participants, including both amateurs and professionals, joined hands in the noble endeavor to combat malaria in Uganda.

Uganda, known for having one of the highest malaria incidence rates globally, with 478 cases per 1000 population per year, underscores the significance of such initiatives.

The event participants expressed their belief in the importance of the ride, highlighting the urgent need for concerted efforts to address malaria prevalence in the country.
