Manchester United Open to Selling Marcus Rashford Amid Uncertain Form

Manchester United are willing to entertain offers for Marcus Rashford should a significant bid materialize and the player express a desire to depart. However, the club is not actively seeking to offload the England international, who remains under contract at Old Trafford for over four years.

United’s current stance favors retaining the 26-year-old and collaborating with him to recapture his peak performance levels, reminiscent of his previous standout seasons. Rashford penned a new five-year deal with the club in July last year, extending his stay until June 2028. This commitment followed a prolific campaign where he netted 30 goals in 56 appearances across all competitions.

Despite his impressive form in the past, Rashford’s contributions this season have been more modest. Across 40 outings for United, he has scored eight goals and provided five assists. The forward has also recently spoken out about the “abuse” he has endured, highlighting the challenges he has faced on and off the pitch.

Manager Erik ten Hag has expressed support for Rashford, urging fans to rally behind the player during this period. Acknowledging Rashford’s capabilities, ten Hag emphasized the need for collective support to help him rediscover his peak form. The manager noted Rashford’s stellar performances in the previous season, highlighting the potential for a resurgence if adequately supported.

While United remains committed to Rashford’s development and success, the club’s willingness to consider offers underscores the fluidity of the situation. Rashford’s future at Old Trafford may hinge on various factors, including his own aspirations, performance trajectory, and potential suitors in the transfer market. As speculation swirls around his future, both club and player navigate a crucial juncture in their ongoing partnership.
