BUL Football Club secured a significant 1-0 victory over Vipers to reclaim the top spot in the league standings with three games to go.
The match, which was part of the test matches held at the renovated Mandela National Stadium, Namboole saw Jerome Kiirya’s decisive goal, propelling BUL to victory and recording a league double over the Kitende based team.
Despite a strong showing from Vipers, BUL managed to take the lead, with Alex Kitaata’s assist setting up Kiirya to find the back of the net.
The late introduction of Yunus Sentamu and Bright Anukani helped Vipers revitalise their attack but BUL’s resilience thwarted any attempts at an equalizer.
BUL now move to the top of the league standings with 49 points, edging ahead of second-placed Kitara by two points. Vipers are now in third place with 46 points, although they still have a game in hand.
