Kimbugwe Broline of Cobap Boxing Club is slated to go head-to-head against Tumusiime Nerrick on in the Uganda Boxing Champions League Season 3 Opener. This clash will mark the commencement of the league’s latest season, promising an electrifying start for boxing enthusiasts.
Nerrick who transitioned to the 71Kg category had a remarkable performance at the 2024 National Boxing Open where he beat Kibra Owen 3-2 in the final.
In a post-fight interview following his impressive win, Nerrick exuded confidence as he set his sights on challenging Kimbugwe, who reached the finals at last year’s Champions League.
Originally slated for May 11th, 2024, the Uganda Boxing Champion League Season 3 opener has been rescheduled to start on May 18th, 2024, due to logistical considerations.
The tournament will take place at the Lugogo Indoor Arena and will be instrumental in the selection of players to join the National team.
