In line with CAF’s commitment to safety and security, Dr. Christian Emeruwa, Head of CAF’s Safety and Security Department, emphasized the department’s pivotal role in enhancing operational capabilities. Rigorous training and continuous improvement have equipped local organizing stakeholders with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage safety and security risks.

CAF has conducted detailed site inspections at key operational areas, including stadiums, hotels, airports, training sites, and traveling routes, to ensure comprehensive safety measures are in place. The Local Organising Committee, in collaboration with law enforcement agencies, has established strategic plans to ensure a safe and incident-free experience for all participants.

Dr. Emeruwa reiterated that safety and security remain paramount concerns amidst the excitement of competition and camaraderie. The mission of the CAF Safety and Security department extends beyond this tournament, aiming to foster a culture of safety and security at all CAF competitions.

The CAF African Schools Football Championship, a pioneering initiative in world football, reflects CAF President Dr. Motsepe’s vision of Investing in the Youth of Africa. As the Finals approach, all eyes are on Zanzibar, where football talent meets rigorous safety and security standards.
