Uganda Rugby Sevens Head Coach Tolbert Onyango has announced the squad that will represent Uganda in the upcoming Munich Challenger Sevens, set to take place in Germany from the 18th to the 19th of May, 2024. This tournament marks the final round of the World Rugby HSBC Sevens Challenger Series for the year.
Uganda is in Group B, alongside tough opponents Hong Kong China, Tonga, and Mexico.
Despite their efforts, Uganda currently sits in 8th place overall, accumulating 14 points in the series. However, their chances of advancing to the HSBC Sevens 2024 Grand Final in Madrid are slim, as only the top four teams secure a spot in the promotion and relegation playoffs.
