I Won’t Seek Favours From United – Guardiola

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola remains resolute in his pursuit of the Premier League title as his side seeks to surpass “incredible” Arsenal in the ongoing title race. Ahead of City’s clash against Fulham, Guardiola emphasizes the importance of securing three points rather than relying on results from other teams.

A victory against Fulham would propel City two points clear of leaders Arsenal, but Guardiola refuses to entertain thoughts of Manchester United doing City a favor by defeating Arsenal. Instead, he emphasizes the need for his team to focus solely on the task at hand.

Guardiola acknowledges the quality of Arsenal’s challenge, likening it to the intense title battles City experienced with Liverpool in previous seasons. With City aiming for an unprecedented fourth successive Premier League title, Guardiola recognizes the significance of every match in the closing stages of the season.

Despite midfielder Rodri being overlooked in the Premier League Player of the Year nominations, Guardiola praises his contributions to the team’s success. Additionally, Guardiola defends striker Erling Haaland’s reaction to being substituted, highlighting his overall impact on the team.

As City enters the Fulham match with a 20-game unbeaten league run and six successive victories, Guardiola remains focused on the task ahead, refusing to underestimate their opponents despite social media speculation.
