Gor Mahia coach Johnathan McKinstry has outlined ambitious goals for his team beyond clinching the FKF Premier League title, emphasizing the importance of surpassing last season’s achievements.
Despite nearing a record-extending 21st league title, McKinstry is keen to see Gor Mahia not only secure the championship but also improve upon their previous season’s performance.
With just two wins needed from their remaining five matches, McKinstry’s side is on the brink of glory but remains focused on raising the bar higher.
“We want to do better than last season. Last year we got 70 points, this year we want more,” McKinstry stated, highlighting the team’s commitment to excellence.
Gor Mahia has displayed remarkable consistency throughout the season, boasting 19 clean sheets and joint-leading the division in goals scored.
The recent 1-0 victory against Shabana, courtesy of Benson Omala’s decisive goal, has propelled Gor Mahia closer to their title aspirations. With a commanding lead at the top of the league table, McKinstry’s men are determined to maintain their momentum and finish the season on a high note.
