The Uganda Premier League Secretariat has announced a solemn tribute to honor the memory of the late Coach Fred Kajoba Kisitu, who tragically passed away on Monday, May 13th, 2024.
Coach Kajoba, known for his impactful contributions to various clubs including Simba FC, Bright Stars FC, and Vipers SC, as well as his role as the former Uganda Cranes goalkeeping coach, left an indelible mark on Ugandan football.
In a statement released by the Uganda Premier League Secretariat, they expressed deep sadness at the passing of Coach Kajoba, acknowledging his significant impact on the footballing community.
As a mark of respect and remembrance, the Uganda Premier League Secretariat has declared that a minute of silence will be observed at all League matches commencing from Tuesday, May 14th, 2024. This tribute will continue until Coach Kajoba is laid to rest, allowing players, officials, and fans alike to pay their respects to the departed coach.
Kajoba, aged 54, breathed his last while in Tanzania, where he was currently employed as the goalkeeping coach for topflight side Ihefu Sports Club.
