The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has confirmed that fans will have free access to St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifier game between Uganda and Zambia. The match is scheduled for this Friday, May 17th.
In the opening leg of the U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers, Zambia secured a victory against Uganda’s U17 Women’s Team, also known as the Teen Cranes, with a score of 2-0. The game took place on Sunday, May 12th, at Lusaka, Zambia.
Zambia took an early lead just two minutes into the match with a goal from Namute Chelishe. Despite Uganda’s efforts, the first half concluded with Zambia maintaining their 1-0 lead. In the 69th minute, Ruth Mukoma extended Zambia’s lead with a second goal, securing a final score of 2-0 in favor of the hosts.
The winner between Zambia and Uganda will proceed to face either Morocco or Algeria in the next stage of the U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers. Both teams are vying for a coveted spot at the U17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic.
