NEC Football Club head coach Hussein Mbalangu has issued a stern warning to Sports Club Villa ahead of their crucial Startimes Uganda Premier League title decider on today.
Mbalangu, who won two league titles during his three seasons as a player with SC Villa, emphasized that his former club must earn the victory if they hope to be crowned champions.
“SC Villa must understand that winning this match won’t come easy. They need to earn it on the field,” Mbalangu stated. He added that his team is well-prepared and determined to secure all three points, aiming to finish their season on a high note.
The coach also addressed SC Villa fans, cautioning them against underestimating NEC.
“This match is not going to be a walk in the park for SC Villa. We are coming into this game with full preparation and a strong resolve,” he said.
SC Villa, currently leading the league with 54 points, needs a win at the Phillip Omondi Stadium to secure their first league title in 20 years.
