The Uganda Premier League Secretariat unveiled the detailed arrangements for the crowning of the 2023/2024 season champion, as the league reaches its climax on today, May 18, 2024.
Four teams—SC Villa, BUL FC, Vipers SC, and Kitara FC—remain in contention for the title. SC Villa, currently leading the league table, will face NEC FC at MTN Omondi Stadium. This stadium has been selected as the primary venue for the grand ceremony, which will feature the FUFA President and other distinguished guests.
The Secretariat has confirmed that if SC Villa, BUL FC, or Vipers SC secures the championship on Saturday, the crowning ceremony will take place immediately after the matches.
However, should Kitara FC claim the title, the ceremony will be postponed to Sunday, May 19, at Masindi Stadium, commencing at 12:00 PM.
All final day matches are scheduled to start at 3:00 PM, ensuring that the top four teams’ games will be played simultaneously.
To accommodate the widespread interest, the Secretariat announced that these decisive matches will be televised, allowing fans across the country to witness the action live.
This final match day promises intense competition and high drama as the top contenders vie for the prestigious league title.
