A cohort of locally based players has commenced their training camp at the Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisasi, gearing up for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers scheduled for June.
Among the early arrivals are players such as, Patrick Kakande, Nelson Ssenkatuka, Denis Omedi, Uganda Premier League Champion Kenneth Ssemakula, and Timothy Awany.
The remaining contingent of players is expected to join the camp by Monday, June 3rd to start rigorous training for the Namboole double header.
The training regimen kicks off with the first session slated for Friday, May 31st, 2024, to be held at the Mandela National Stadium.
This initial training session serves as a pivotal moment for the players to synchronize strategies and fine-tune their skills under the guidance of coach Paul Put.
The Uganda Cranes are slated to face Botswana in their first qualifier match on Friday, June 7th, followed by a formidable encounter against Algeria on Monday, June 10th.
Both matches are scheduled to kick off at 7:00 PM at the Mandela National Stadium.
