As the Uganda Boxing Championships League enters week two of its third season, anticipation mounts for Saturday’s showdown at Club Obligato.
Amidst the intensity of preparation, we spoke to the coaches of the main fighters, Sekyejwe Brian and Kemis Ibrahim.
Affectionately known as “Coach America,” Sekyejwe’s coach sets the tone with a blend of determination and wit.
“What can I say? We’re coming for a win!” he declared. Adding a touch of comedy, he jokingly suggested that this time, his family might need to make a phone call for updates before leaving the arena.
On the opposing side, Kemis’ coach, Henry Kalunga, embraced the banter with his own quirky remarks.
Dismissing Brian’s remarks about Kemis belonging with the youth, Kalunga confidently asserted, “Kemis taught the youth, and now he’s here to school the elites!”
