The JKL Lady Dolphins showcased their basketball prowess in a dominant performance against the UPDF Lady Tomahawks, securing an emphatic 82-48 victory at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.
From the outset, the Lady Dolphins asserted their dominance, outscoring their opponents in every quarter and never relinquishing control of the game.
Leading the charge for the JKL Lady Dolphins was Ekone Brenda, who delivered an impressive 15 points, supported by stellar performances from Sandra Asiimwe and Hope Akello, who contributed 13 and 9 points respectively.
In addition to their scoring prowess, the Lady Dolphins also dominated the boards, with Hope Akello and Becky Keren Longom hauling in 8 rebounds each, while Miriam Senade grabbed 7 rebounds to bolster the team’s efforts.
The Lady Dolphins’ defensive pressure stifled the UPDF Lady Tomahawks’ offense, limiting them to just 48 points for the entire game. Notable defensive performances came from Fauzia Namasamba, who recorded 5 steals, and Stella Maris Lunkuse, who contributed 3 blocks.
