2023/24 Pilsner SUPL Awards Launched

The Startimes Uganda Premier League is gearing up for its annual celebration of excellence in the league, as the official launch of the Pilsner SUPL Awards for the 2023/24 season took place this morning at Katikati.

The prestigious awards ceremony, which is set to take place on Saturday, June 29th, 2024, at Sheraton Hotel, will honor the outstanding players, coaches, and teams who have showcased their exceptional talent and dedication throughout the season.

“The Pilsner SUPL Awards are here to celebrate the dedication and hard work of our players and coaches,” said FUFA CEO Humphrey Mandu, who also serves as a board member on the Uganda Premier League board.

Fans can now begin nominating their outstanding players in 14 categories, including Player of the Season, Top Goal Scorer, Young Player of the Season, Goalkeeper of the Season, and Coach of the Season.

Other categories Most Assists of the Season, Fair Play Team of the Season, Players’ Player of the Season, Coaches’ Player of the Season, Goal of the Season, Best XI of the Season and Platinum Award.

The nomination period will run from today, June 13th, to Thursday, June 20th, 2024.

The nominees will then be reviewed and the top 5 players in each category will be selected. Thereafter, a seven-man panel on will sit on June 21st, to determine the winners.

The award ceremony will then take place on 29th June.

The Pilsner SUPL Awards are aimed at appreciating and rewarding the players that were outstanding in the previous StarTimes Uganda Premier League season.
