Uganda Cranes Play at Namboole Under Provisional License; New License Sought for September

The Uganda Cranes may have suffered a heartbreaking loss in their recent World Cup qualifiers, but the team’s spirit remains unbroken, thanks to the support of their fans during the two games last week

According to Hon. Moses Magogo, the team’s message to him after the game was one of gratitude and appreciation for the love and support shown by the fans. “They felt like they had a 12th player behind them all the time, and this pushed them,” Magogo revealed.

Despite the setback, the team remains resolute and has promised to fight even harder in their upcoming matches. Magogo expressed his heartfelt thanks to the fans who turned out in large numbers to support the team, dismissing claims that Ugandans had lost interest in the Cranes.

FUFA initially received a provisional license to host the two recent matches against Botswana and Algeria at the Mandela National Stadium in Namboole, which is still undergoing renovations. It (FUFA)  will need to apply for a new license to host games in September.
