The UCU Lady Canons defeated the KCCA Leopards 81-67 in an intense NBL Women’s 2024 basketball match held at the MTN Arena on June 21, 2024.
The match saw UCU Lady Canons leading throughout, with quarter scores of 20-15, 22-16, 22-22, and 17-14, concluding the game with a 14-point advantage over KCCA Leopards.
For the KCCA Leopards, Perus Nyamwenge stood out with a double-double, scoring 20 points and securing 10 rebounds. Margaret Bagaala also made significant contributions with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Despite their efforts, the Leopards struggled with shooting efficiency, making only 30% of their field goals.
On the other hand, the Lady Canons displayed a more balanced attack. Hajara Najjuko scored 8 points in just over 15 minutes of play, while Shillah Lamunu Aber and Bridget Aber dominated the boards with 20 and 13 rebounds, respectively.
