Mamelodi Sundowns and Rhulani Mokwena Part Ways

In a surprise move, Mamelodi Sundowns and Rhulani Mokwena have agreed to end their partnership, bringing an end to Mokwena’s tenure as Head Coach.

According to a statement released by the club, the decision was made amicably and with mutual respect. Mamelodi Sundowns expressed their gratitude to Mokwena for his contributions to the team’s successes and achievements during his time as Head Coach.

 

Mokwena will always be considered a part of the Mamelodi Sundowns family and the club wishes him all the best in his future endeavors. The decision was made by the Board, considering the club’s objectives and expectations, without any external influence.

 

Coach Manqoba Mngqithi and the Technical Team will take over the training and preparation of the players for the upcoming season. Mamelodi Sundowns is committed to developing and growing South African coaches and players and is looking forward to competing in all upcoming competitions, including the historic FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
