As the 2024 Rugby Africa Cup approaches, the Senegal rugby team has jetted into Uganda, ahead of the tournament’s start on July 20th.
Defending champions Namibia, along with teams from Kenya, Algeria, Côte d’Ivoire, and Zimbabwe, are expected to arrive by Friday 19th July.
Senegal will open the tournament with a match against Kenya on Saturday 20th July at midday in Namboole. The victor of this opening game will advance to the semifinals to face either Algeria or Côte d’Ivoire.
This year’s Rugby Africa Cup, hosted by Uganda, holds significant importance as it marks the first stage of the 2027 Men’s Rugby World Cup qualifiers for the African region.
The event will see eight nations competing for the coveted title.
