Thomas Ochungo has officially joined BUL, known as the Eastern Giants, after signing a two-year contract.

The talented left-back, who has been identified as one of the most promising fullbacks in the Uganda Premier League, makes his move from Gaddafi FC, the club that brought him to prominence.

Ochungo’s football journey began in the FUFA Juniors League with Jinja Municipal Hippos. His stellar performances in the league’s first edition led to his promotion to the senior side in 2017.

In 2020, Ochungo joined Gaddafi FC when they were still competing in the Eastern Regional League. He played a pivotal role in guiding the team to the Big League and eventually to the topflight Uganda Premier League.

In 2022, Ochungo switched his allegiance to Busoga United. However, he returned to Gaddafi FC in 2023, where he continued to make significant contributions by scoring two goals and recording one assist last season.

Ochungo’s signing is a significant boost for BUL FC, as head coach Abbey Bogere expressed confidence in his new recruit’s abilities. “Thomas is a dynamic fullback with great potential, and we are excited to have him join our squad,” Bogere stated.

This move is expected to bolster BUL’s defensive lineup as they prepare for the upcoming season.
