To mark the inaugural Vipers Day celebrations, six-time Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC will host Kenya Mozzart Bet Cup winners Police FC for an international friendly.
The match is scheduled for Saturday, July 27, 2024, at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
Police FC recently secured their place in the CAF Confederation Cup by defeating KCB 8-7 in a post-match penalty shootout after a goalless draw in the Mozzart Bet Cup final.
They finished the 2023/24 Kenya Premier League season in third place, accumulating 57 points from 34 matches, behind Tusker FC and champions Gor Mahia FC.
The friendly will serve as a key preparatory match for Vipers SC ahead of the 2024/25 campaign and provide entertainment for their fans.
For Police FC, it offers an opportunity to evaluate their squad before the upcoming Kenyan season and the CAF Confederation Cup.
The match aims to build and strengthen the relationship between the two clubs, enhancing their regional and continental presence.
The friendly will be played under floodlights, concluding a day of celebrations that includes a match between Vipers Legends and a Vipers Fans Select team, musical performances, fan interactions, squad unveiling, sponsor engagements, and other activities.
