The attacking midfielder joined Kitara in August 2023 from UPDF where he had spent two seasons.

During his first campaign with the Royals, Yiga made eight appearances and provided one assist before suffering an injury midway through the second round, which caused him to miss several games.

Expressing his gratitude, Yiga said, “I’m glad the club has given me another chance to work. It means they have confidence in me and trust that I can do better this new season. I want to win with my team and I pledge to give my best to achieve more here.”

In his debut season, Yiga played a crucial role in helping Kitara win the Uganda Cup and secure a fourth-place finish in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

His presence is expected to add competition to a midfield that includes Marvin Nyanzi, Jude Ssemugabi, Titus Ssematimba, Frank Tumwesigye, and Okwalinga Solomon.

Yiga joins the ranks of Maxwell Owachigiu, Jude Ssemugabi, Benjamin Nyakoojo, and Kabon Living, who have also renewed their contracts with the club.
