The highly anticipated 2024 Nile Special 7s circuit will return this weekend setting the stage for another thrilling rugby season.
The 7s circuit comes on the heels of the 2023/24 season, which saw Heathens clinch the title, while Pirates remain the defending champions of the circuit.
The Stanbic Black Pirates last year ended their five year wait for the national 7s title having previously won the trophy in 2018 for the first time.
The upcoming circuit features a series of tournaments across various regions, offering a platform for rugby teams across the country to showcase their talent.
The circuit kicks off on 10th-11th August in the Central region with the Entebbe 7s, hosted by Mongers at the Entebbe Works grounds.
The following weekend, on 17th-18th August, the action moves to the Eastern region for the Tororo Border 7s, hosted by Tororo Crest at the Elgon View Pitch.
Returning to the Central region on 24th-25th August, the Kyadondo 7s will be hosted by Thunderbirds at Kyadondo.
As the calendar turns to September, the Northern region will host the Gulu 7s, organized by Gulu City Falcons at Pece Stadium on 7th-8th September.
The next weekend, 14th-15th September, Walukuba will host the Kyabazinga 7s in the Central region, held at Bugembe.
The Western region will see the Mbarara 7s, hosted by Mbarara at Kakyeka Stadium on 21st-22nd September.
The circuit will conclude with the Rujumba 7s, hosted by Pirates at King’s Park in the Central region on 5th-6th October.
