Kitara Football Club have announced an international friendly match against Kenya’s Tusker FC, set to take place on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Masindi Stadium.
The club says that the match will serve as a crucial preparatory game for Kitara as they gear up for their CAF Confederations Cup encounter with Libya’s Al Hilal SC Benghazi on August 16.
Tusker, known as the Brewers, finished second in the 2023/24 Kenya Premier League season.
This upcoming fixture will be Kitara’s second international friendly in recent months, following their impressive 2-0 victory over Ethiopia’s Mechal SC in Addis Ababa last month.
Ahead of the friendly, Kitara will present their Stanbic Uganda Cup trophy to fans at Masindi Stadium at noon.
The entrance fees for the match are set at 5,000 UGX for ordinary seats and 10,000 UGX for VIP seats.
Kitara are also preparing for the FUFA Super8 tournament quarterfinal return leg against KCCA at the MTN Omondi Stadium, having secured a 1-0 victory in the first leg courtesy of a goal by Denis Omedi in the 26th minute.
