The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has officially confirmed the dates for the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations Egypt 2024, which will take place from October 19-26, 2024, in the picturesque coastal city of Hurghada, Egypt.
This sixth edition of the tournament will feature eight teams, including the hosts Egypt, and the qualified nations: Morocco, Tanzania, Ghana, Mauritania, Mozambique, Malawi, and the reigning champions, Senegal.
The competition will be structured with two groups of four teams each. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, with the ultimate goal of claiming the prestigious championship title.
Hurghada, a city celebrated for its stunning Red Sea beaches and vibrant tourist scene, is hosting the Beach Soccer AFCON for the second time, following the 2018 edition in Charm-El Sheikh. The location is expected to provide a scenic and dynamic backdrop for the tournament.
All eyes will be on Senegal, the dominant force in African beach soccer, as they aim to secure their fifth consecutive title. Having won the tournament in 2016, 2018, 2021, and 2022, Senegal enters the competition as the team to beat.
