The match, set to take place on Friday, August 16, in Benghazi, marks a significant milestone for the club as it’ll be their debut in continental football.

Kitara’s head coach Brian Ssenyondo named a 20-man squad for the trip, featuring key players such as Denis Omedi, Brian Aheebwa, and Jude Ssemugabi.

Notably, center-back Benjamin Nyakoojo, who sustained an injury during the FUFA Super 8 semifinal against BUL, has been deemed fit enough to travel and could feature in the match.

Joining Nyakoojo in defense are new signing Ronald Otti, Arthur Kiggundu, Jasper Aheebwa, and captain Maxwell Owachgiu.

Kitara’s squad also includes the likes David Ndihabwe, Fred Amaku, Titus Ssematimba, Marvin Nyanzi, George Senkaaba, Erick Muber, and Frank Tumwesigye, among others.

The club will also host the return leg of the tie against in Libya on August 23, and will camp in Benghazi for ten days to prepare for both fixtures.

Kitara’s traveling contingent also includes 10 officials accompanying the players, led by Issa Magola, with Club President Deo Kasozi and CEO Joshua Atugonza also making the trip, together with coach Brian Ssenyondo among others.
