Uganda Cranes defender Halid Lwaliwa will be plying his trade in Saudi Arabia same as arguably the greatest footballer of all time Cristiano Ronaldo.
The former Vipers captain penned a two-year contract with the Atawlah based club.
Unlike Ronaldo who plays in the Saudi Pro League for Al Nassr, Lwaliwa will be playing in the First Division League, which is just a tier lower than the former.
Saudi Arabia will be the second country where the 27-year-old has played from abroad after North Macedonia.
He went to the latter country in 2022 joining FK Bregalnica Stip on a two-year contract from the Kitende-based outfit.
Just like he left the Uganda Premier League as a free agent, his contract with Bregalnica was not renewed upon expiry last month.
He managed 51 appearances for the Knights of Hejaz and he is a mainstay in the Uganda Cranes squad.
Lwaliwa will be hoping to make his debut for his new club when the season starts on Tuesday, August 20 on the road against Al Safa.
