The FUFA TV Cup is set to enter its most thrilling stage, with the last eight teams, dubbed the “Giant 8,” gearing up for intense competition.
The tournament, which has showcased the talent of young Ugandan footballers from select traditional secondary schools in the country will now transition into a knockout format.
The eight teams will be divided into two groups of four. Each team will play three group stage matches, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semifinals.
The winners of the semifinals will then face off in the final.
Group A: Nabumali High School, Mpanga SS, Nganwa HS, Mengo SS
Group B: St. Charles Lwanga, Lango College, Gombe SS, Jinja SS
All matches will be played at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru. The participating teams are expected to arrive at the camp on August 25, 2024. The tournament will run from August 26 to September 2, 2024.
