During a Sunday service at Shining Light Church in Kapchorwa, Uganda’s top athletes presented their coach, Benjamin Njia, with a new car.
Olympic medalists Joshua Cheptegei, Stella Chesang, and Peruth Chemutai led the surprise, thanking Njia for his dedication and guidance.
The congregation applauded as Njia received the car keys.
He expressed his gratitude, noting the significant change from his usual motorcycle.
This event highlighted the strong bond within the Police Athletics Club, which has contributed to their success at the 2024 Olympics, including Cheptegei’s gold and Chemutai’s silver.
