It has been a tough beginning for Morley Byekwaso as Villa’s interim head coach since taking over the role following the departure of head coach Dusan Stojanovic in July.
It took the former KCCA head coach five games to win his first game as the Jogoos caretaker coach.

They shared spoils in a 1-1 stalemate in the second leg played in Ethiopia but the damage had already been caused back home and bowed out at the initial stage of the group stage qualifiers.
Five games, three defeats, a draw and loss apiece is how Byekwaso has fared so far as Villa’s interim.
Villa’s hierarchy is yet to confirm whether Byekwaso will be elevated to full head coach or not ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
They will commence their campaign with a home game against Mbarara City at Wankulukuku on Monday, September 16.
