Mexico took an early lead thanks to Paola Garcia’s header, but Cameroon’s resilience was evident throughout the match.

Despite hitting the woodwork twice, they managed to stay in the game. However, Mexico doubled their advantage before halftime, leaving Cameroon facing an uphill battle.

The second half saw a transformed Cameroon side, with Eto playing a pivotal role in their comeback. Her composure and skill were on full display as she rounded the Mexican goalkeeper to pull one goal back.

In a dramatic finish, Eto once again rose to the occasion, heading home a late equalizer to secure a valuable point for Cameroon.

Her performance earned her the Player of the Match award, highlighting her immense talent.

As Cameroon looks ahead to their next group match against hosts Colombia, their fans will be hoping for another impressive performance from Eto and the rest of the Indomitable Lionesses.
