Opiro’s football journey began in Northern Uganda at Good Soccer Academy before he moved to Bright Valley Primary School in Wagadugu.

His exceptional skills were recognized, leading him to Kibuli Secondary School and eventually St Mary’s Kitende SS.

At Kitende, Opiro played a pivotal role in the school’s success, captaining the KCCA junior team and contributing to their victories in both the Copa Coca-Cola football championships and the East Africa football championship.

On the national stage, Opiro has represented Uganda at youth level, featuring in the Uganda Cubs (U17) and Uganda Hippos (U20) teams.

His participation in the 2023 AFCON U20 tournament in Egypt showcased his defensive capabilities and marked him as one of the country’s most promising young talents.

URA’s coaching staff have been impressed by Opiro’s progress and believe he has the potential to become a key player at the senior level.
