The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) has taken a stern stance against match-fixing, banning Royal Giant High School and St. Andrews High School Gombe from future competitions.
The decision comes in response to serious violations of match schedules during the recent USSSA Ball Games II and Mind Games held in Soroti City.
Six team officials from both schools have also been banned, including head coaches, assistant coaches, and goalkeeping coaches.
The USSSA disciplinary committee cited violations of its competitions rule and FIFA’s regulations on match-fixing and malpractice as grounds for the sanctions.
The body has vowed to continue enforcing strict measures against any form of misconduct.
