Ugandan netball player Faridah Kadondi is ready to make her mark in the UK’s Netball Super League, having recently joined Nottingham Forest Netball Club.

and elevate her country’s presence on the international stage.
In an exclusive interview with NBS Sport, Kadondi expressed her determination to help her new club succeed, and shared her aspirations as she transitions to this new chapter in her career.
“Nottingham Forest is a new team coming to compete in the Super League for the first time ever. I’m looking forward to making sure that the team wins,” she stated emphatically.
Kadondi’s ambitions extend beyond merely contributing to team victories; she harbours dreams of helping her new team clinch the Netball Super League championship.
“I will be the happiest if we actually won the championship. That will be something big in my career,” she added.
The talented defender, who has previously showcased featured for Weyonje Netball Club and KCCA Leopards Basketball Club, is eager to deliver her best performances on this prestigious platform.
“I’m looking forward to putting up the best display ever because I’ll be playing with the world’s best netball players and the best netball teams in the world,” she expressed.
“While I compete for the team to win, I’ll be competing with myself. I want to challenge myself in the new environment to achieve my goals,” she remarked, emphasising that she is not only focused on team success but also on personal growth.
In the Netball Super League, Kadondi will be playing against other notable Ugandan netball players, including She Cranes captain Peace Proscovia, and Stella Oyella.
The netballer shared her enthusiasm about reuniting with her compatriots. “I’m looking forward to playing with them because while I’ll be playing with them, we’ll be cheering for each other since we play for the same country,” she said.
“I have always admired them, cheered for them, and wished them well. Seeing myself going to the same league is something good. I can’t wait to see them all.” Kadondi added.
Notably, Peace Proscovia played a pivotal role in Kadondi securing her move to Nottingham Forest, and Kadondi expressed her eagerness to personally thank her.
“The fact that Peace has been a very vital person in this deal, I can’t wait to meet her that day and thank her.”
Kadondi’s experience is further solidified by her instrumental role in Uganda’s recent successes, including a commendable fifth-place finish at the 2023 World Cup in South Africa and earning the Player of the Match award against Australia at the 2022 Fast5 World Series.
Her addition to Nottingham Forest is a significant boost for the team as they prepare for the challenges ahead.
Under the guidance of experienced coach Chelsea Pitman, Kadondi is ready to embrace her new role as goal defense for Nottingham Forest.
“I’m very excited and happy about it because it’s something I’ve been working for my whole career. It’s like a dream come true,” she said.
