PSG Ordered to Pay Mbappé UGX 221 Billion in Unpaid Wages

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has been ordered to pay Kylian Mbappé €55 million (approximately 221 Billion Ugandan Shillings) in unpaid wages.

The decision was made by the French league’s legal commission following a dispute between the club and the star striker.

Mbappé, who joined Real Madrid this summer on a free transfer, had claimed that PSG owed him €55 million in unpaid wages.

The French league’s legal commission confirmed the decision without providing further details.

The dispute between PSG and Mbappé escalated after the World Cup winner rejected a mediation offer from the commission. The two parties met in Paris to discuss the matter, with Mbappé’s representatives stating that the striker had requested the commission to take note of the nonpayment of three months of salary and the last third of a loyalty bonus.

PSG, however, has denied owing Mbappé any money, arguing that they do not owe the World Cup winner under an agreement reached when Mbappé was sidelined ahead of the 2023-24 season.

The club claims that Mbappé agreed to relinquish bonuses in exchange for his reintegration into the team.

PSG has announced that it will take further legal action to challenge the commission’s decision. The club stated that the matter must now be contested in another legal forum, where they will present all the facts.

Mbappé’s relationship with PSG ended on a sour note during his final season at the club. Tensions between the two parties escalated after Mbappé informed the club that he would not extend his contract for an extra year.

PSG attempted to sell Mbappé to avoid losing him for free but was unsuccessful in securing a transfer.
