Buswekera Football Club, a newly promoted team to the Kitara regional league, has made a significant move to bolster their chances of securing promotion to the big league.
They have appointed Kalisa Kenneth as their new head coach for the upcoming 2024/25 season.
Kalisa, a CAF-C licensed tactician, brings a wealth of experience to the role having previously managed Booma FC, Bugoigo Leopards FC, and Kiryandongo United.
His appointment is seen as a major coup for Buswekera as they look to make a strong impression in their debut season at the regional level.
In addition to Kalisa’s appointment, Buswekera has also strengthened their off-field team with the addition of retired referee Denis Nyakoojo as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Paul Davis Ssegawa as media officer.
Nyakoojo’s vast experience in football administration is expected to be invaluable in guiding the club’s operations, while Ssegawa will be responsible for enhancing the club’s media presence and engaging with fans.
Buswekera’s ambitious plans for promotion have been fueled by their recent success in securing a place in the Kitara regional league.
With a talented squad and a strong leadership team in place, the club is confident of making a competitive challenge for promotion to the big league.
