Simba and Al Ahly could not be separated in a goalless draw in the first leg of the second round of the preliminaries played at Tripoli International Stadium a week ago.

However, Simba used the home advantage to their advantage in the second leg at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on Sunday.

The Tanzanian giants comfortably defeated the Libyans 3-1 at a fully packed and electric Mkapa Stadium.

Angolan striker Mabululu first stunned the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium when he opened the scoring for Tripoli in the 17th minute.

Cameroonian Leonel Ateba levelled matters for Simba in the 35th minute before Denis Kibu completed the turn around for the Reds of Msimbazi to lead 2-1 at halftime.

Edwin Balua sealed it for Simba in 86th minutes. Ugandan Mukwala was once again an unused substitute but will be hanging in there hoping that his time will come.
