The Chaapa League Season 9 grand finale concluded with a bang at the NEC playground in Bugolobi, Kampala, as Chogum FC and Rwizi claimed top honors.
In the Bulls Tournament, Chogum FC, Class of 2003, emerged victorious, defeating DINGFWAYO in a closely contested final.
Meanwhile, Rwizi (Class of 2015) secured the overall Chaapa League championship title, showcasing their dominance throughout the season.
The event, sponsored by Guinness, featured an exciting mix of football action and entertainment.
Fans were treated to performances by Bad Boys, Allan Tonix, and Pia Pounds, while Guinness provided a lively atmosphere with its matchday campaign and giveaways.
“Today was an amazing display of what the Chaapa League is all about,” said Jacob Kabigumira, Chairman of Chaapa League. “The energy from the crowd, the support from our partners, and the excitement of the players made for an unforgettable grand finale.”
Denis Wokorach, Guinness Brand Representative, emphasized the brand’s commitment to football and its support for the Chaapa League.
“Football is in our DNA, and we love giving fans the chance to enjoy Guinness while celebrating the sport they love,” he said.
Beyond the football action, the event also recognized top performers throughout the season.
Awards were presented for top assists, MVP, top scorer, golden glove, and more.
As the curtains closed on Season 9, excitement is already building for the next edition of the Chaapa League, set to kick off in early February 2025.
