The 5th Corporate Woodball Circuit, held on Sunday September 29, 2024, at Makerere University Business School, saw Ndejje Corporate Woodball Club dominate the Stroke Men Team – Corporate Category, clinching victory with a total score of 207 strokes.
This latest win reinforces Ndejje’s strong standing in the corporate woodball scene following previous strong performances in the circuit.
Ndejje’s triumph was powered by standout performances from Mugarura Timothy, who recorded the lowest individual score of the day with 46 strokes, and Kiiza Caleb, who followed closely with 51 strokes.
Their consistency across the board helped secure first place over the University of Kisubi, who posted a total score of 216 strokes.
Kisubi’s team included strong contributions from Ssenteza Aloysius, who finished with 45 strokes, and Kalunga Michael, with 47 strokes.
Kisubi Corporate Woodball Club took third place, just one stroke behind the University of Kisubi, finishing with a total of 217 strokes.
Their top performer, Ssemata Raymond, posted an impressive score of 48 strokes, while teammates Masiga Jackson and Mutebi David both registered 55 strokes each.
Zoe Woodball Club secured fourth place with a score of 221 strokes, led by Abura Patrick Ongom and Nuwagaba Leonald, both scoring 52 strokes.
Meanwhile, Bank of Uganda finished in fifth place with 238 strokes, despite a notable effort from Mutungisa Kennedy, who recorded 50 strokes.
This event showcased the continued growth of woodball within Uganda’s corporate sector, with teams showing high levels of skill and competitiveness.
