Kitara Football Club President Deo Kasozi has issued a statement following the team’s recent string of losses, including two defeats at their new home ground in Hoima.
While acknowledging the team’s struggles, Kasozi expressed confidence in the club’s ability to turn things around and regain their winning form.
“We understand the disappointment and frustration that our fans are feeling after these losses,” Kasozi said. “It’s not the result we were hoping for, especially given the investments we’ve made in the team.”
Despite the setbacks, Kasozi praised the continued support from the club’s fans, leaders, media, sponsors, and partners.
“Your unwavering belief in Kitara means a great deal to us, and we are grateful for your patience during this challenging period,” he added.
To address the team’s recent struggles, Kasozi revealed that the technical team has identified areas for improvement and is working to implement necessary changes.
“We are confident that with the right adjustments, we will be able to bounce back and achieve the success we all desire,” he stated.
On a positive note, Kasozi announced that the club had generated Shs 21,826,000 in gate receipts from their recent match against Police. This revenue, he said, will be used to support the club’s activities as outlined in their 2024/2025 budget.
Kitara will return to action after the international break against Mbarara City on October 18th. Kasozi has urged fans to continue supporting the team.
“We are the Pride of Bunyoro, and your presence at the Kakyeka Stadium will be invaluable,” he said.
