Among the standout performers, Kigezi Home Boyz, Kiyinda Boys, and Blacks Power celebrated important opening-day wins, setting the tone for what promises to be a fiercely competitive season.

Kigezi Home Boyz got off to a perfect start with a convincing 2-0 victory over Ntugasaze at the Kabale Municipal Stadium.

Forward Joseph Sseremba was the hero of the day, scoring twice to propel the Gorillas to the top of the league standings.

In a dramatic encounter at Bertham Stadium, Gayaza, Kiyinda Boys showcased their resilience by coming from behind to defeat MYDA 2-1.

MYDA’s Joel Mutusa opened the scoring, but an own goal by Innocent Opira, followed by a composed finish from Arafat Kigozi, completed the comeback for Kiyinda Boys, leaving the home crowd in high spirits.

Meanwhile, Blacks Power emerged victorious in a closely contested 1-0 encounter against Arua Hill at Aki Bua Stadium in Lira City. Mike Siwu found the net in what turned out to be the deciding goal, giving the home side a winning start.

The match between Kataka and Busoga United at the Mbale City Stadium ended in a 1-1 draw, with Michael Olinga scoring for Kataka and Isaac Doka Mweru providing the equalizer for Busoga United.

Kaaro Karungi and Gaddafi also played out a 1-1 draw at Kyamate Stadium in Ntungamo. Ronald Bithum found the net for Gaddafi, while Allan Kabonge’s side secured a point in their first outing.

The West Nile derby between Onduparaka and Paidha Black Angels was one of the day’s most anticipated clashes, but it ended in a goalless stalemate at Aba Bet Green Light Stadium.
