“No game is simple. Every team has their own dynamics which makes every game difficult,” Aucho said.

Despite the complexities that come with facing a regional rival, Aucho affirmed that Uganda’s focus is unwavering.

“We came here with one mission. To win the game,” he stated.

Aucho further expressed confidence in the squad’s ability to deliver, praising both the players and the technical staff.

“We know we have the team and the technical staff to get the maximum points,” he said.

However, the captain was quick to acknowledge the threat posed by South Sudan.

“South Sudan is a tough team, but we are ready,” Aucho remarked.

Uganda leads the group with 7 points following their 1-0 victory over South Sudan in the first leg. A win in Juba today East Africa Time would see them book their place in the AFCON 2025 finals given Congo drop points against South Africa in the other Group K game.
