The World Athletics Awards 2024 will once again feature a prestigious award for the best athletics photograph of the year.
Professional photographers who captured stunning moments at athletics events throughout 2024 have been asked to submit their entries for a chance to be recognized for their exceptional work.
Photographers can submit one photograph via an online form, along with a caption, date taken, technical information, and a brief bio.
Entries must be received by October 31st, 2024, and will be judged by a panel of experts.
The panel of judges includes renowned artist and creative director Mathieu Forget, World Athletics Photo Commissioner Raquel Cavaco Nunes, sports photographer Pascal Rondeau, Olympic shot put champion Valerie Adams, and former world triple jump champion Christian Taylor.
The top ten entries will be selected by the panel, and from this shortlist, the three best images will be chosen. The finalists will be announced on November 19th, and the winner will be revealed on World Athletics social media platforms at the end of November.
