Express FC left-back Mustafa Kizza has officially announced his departure from the club after starting the season with the Red Eagles.
The 25-year-old joined Express FC on a free transfer from KCCA earlier this year, making four appearances during his brief stint.
In a heartfelt letter addressed to the club and its supporters, Kizza expressed his gratitude for the time spent at Express, reflecting on the memories and bonds formed during his time there.
His farewell message highlighted the passion and support he received from both teammates and fans, with Kizza promising to carry the spirit of the club with him on his next journey.
Kizza is expected to join Egyptian Premier League side Telecoms, where he will continue his career after his short tenure at Express.
The move is seen as an opportunity for the left-back to further his development and showcase his talent on a larger stage in the Egyptian top flight.
In his farewell letter, Kizza wrote:
“Dear Express FC, as I prepare to embark on a new journey, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible time I’ve spent with all of you. The memories we’ve created together will forever hold a special place in my heart… I will carry the spirit of our team with me wherever I go.”
Kizza concluded his message by thanking the Express fans for their hospitality and support, calling them the “best fans in the land.” His time at Express may have been short, but Kizza’s contributions and professionalism were appreciated by all.
The Ugandan international will now look forward to his next chapter in Egypt, where he is expected to join Telecoms in the coming days.
