Onduparaka finally broke their winless streak in the 2024/25 FUFA Big League with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over MYDA at the Greenlight Stadium in Arua on Sunday.
Veteran forward Caesar Okhuti was the star of the show, netting a brace with goals in the 44th and 70th minutes, securing a much-needed win for the West Nile-based side.
MYDA’s only goal came from Eric Kamuhanda, who found the back of the net in the 68th minute.
The win was a significant relief for Onduparaka, who had struggled in their opening three fixtures, suffering two defeats and a draw.
In other notable matches, table leaders Booma FC were handed their first loss of the season, falling 1-0 to Kataka FC at Mbale City Stadium, marking Kataka’s first victory of the campaign.
Meanwhile, Arua Hill endured another tough outing, succumbing to a 3-1 defeat against Kaaro Karungi in Ntungamo, their second consecutive loss.
Onduparaka will be looking to build on this result as they aim to climb up the table in the coming weeks.
