Lord Mayor Commends NBS Sport for Championing Ugandan Sport

Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago shares a light moment with NBS Sport General Manager Joe Kigozi at Next Media Park

Kampala City Council Authority Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has lauded NBS Sport for its exceptional contribution to the promotion of Ugandan sports.

While appearing on NBS Sport’s Premier Sport show, the Lord Mayor, who is also the patron of KCCA Football Club praised the broadcaster for delivering high-quality sports content that has captivated audiences both locally and internationally.

“NBS Sport has undoubtedly set the standard for sports coverage in Uganda,” stated Lord Mayor Lukwago. “Your commitment to showcasing local talent and providing comprehensive coverage of major international events is commendable.”

The Lord Mayor expressed his satisfaction with the broadcaster’s ability to bring several sports events to Ugandan viewers, fostering a sense of national pride and excitement.

While acknowledging the excellent work done by NBS Sport, the Lord Mayor also encouraged the broadcaster to expand its coverage of live games.

He emphasized the importance of providing fans with the opportunity to witness live action, as it enhances the overall viewing experience and creates a more immersive atmosphere.

“I urge NBS Sport to continue striving for excellence and to increase the number of live games they broadcast,” said Lord Mayor Lukwago.

NBS Sport has broadcast live several local and international sporting events like the Paris Olympics, EURO 2024, Rugby Africa Cup, National Basketball League and National Volleyball League among others.
