Barcelona secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
The match, played at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys, saw Barcelona’s Raphinha shine with a hat-trick, while Bayern Munich struggled to contain the hosts’ attacking prowess.
The match started with a bang as Raphinha opened the scoring for Barcelona in the first minute, giving the home crowd an early boost.
Bayern Munich responded with a disallowed goal from Harry Kane due to an offside call, but the English striker eventually found the net in the 18th minute with a powerful volley.
However, Barcelona’s attacking prowess was too much for Bayern Munich to handle.
Robert Lewandowski extended Barcelona’s lead in the 36th minute, and Raphinha completed his hat-trick in the 56th minute, sealing the victory for the Spanish giants.
With this win, Barcelona moved up to 10th place in the Champions League standings with six points, while Bayern Munich remained in 23rd place with three points.
In other Champions League matches, Liverpool narrowly defeated Leipzig 1-0 thanks to a goal from Darwin Nunez, while Manchester City cruised to a 5-0 victory over Sparta Prague with Erling Haaland scoring twice.
