Kitara has announced the addition of Uganda Cranes legend and former striker Hassan Mubiru to their coaching team as an assistant to head coach Wasswa Bbosa.
The appointment was confirmed on Monday morning, signaling a fresh chapter for Mubiru, who is well-regarded for his contributions to Ugandan football both on and off the field.
Mubiru replaces Sharon Achieng, who served as an assistant under the recently departed Brian Ssenyondo, whose technical staff was dismissed following Kitara’s recent struggles.
Mubiru’s appointment also reunites him with Bbosa, a longtime collaborator from their days together at Express.
Supporting Bbosa and Mubiru is George Lutalo, a former Crested Cranes head coach, who will serve as another assistant coach.
Lutalo is returning to Kitara for a second stint, having previously worked under Sam Ssimbwa.
Additionally, former Wakiso Giants, Mbarara City, and Police goalkeeping coach Richard Kansole has been brought in to strengthen the technical staff further.
With this experienced coaching team, Kitara is gearing up to revive its season and make a strong impact in the Uganda Premier League.
