Lugazi Off to a Winning Start Under Bogere

Lugazi kicked off the life under new coach Steven Bogere with a narrow 1-0 victory over NEC at the Najjembe Stadium on Wednesday evening.

The lone goal of the match came in the 72nd minute, courtesy of team captain Sam Ssemugugu.

This crucial win lifts Lugazi to the 11th position in the league table with 8 points.

Meanwhile, Mbale Heroes continued their downward spiral with a 2-1 defeat to Police.

Ben Ocen (23′) and Isaac Ogwang (85′) scored for Police, while Umar Kyebatala netted for Mbale in the 49th minute.

This result leaves Mbale in 15th place with 4 points, while Police climb to fourth with 10 points.

The Uganda Premier League action continues tomorrow with three exciting fixtures:
* BUL FC vs Bright Stars (4 PM)
* Wakiso Giants vs Express FC (4 PM)
* KCCA FC vs Maroons FC (7 PM)
